AtoM-Net: Cognitive Neuro-Symbolic Pipeline for Negotiation Theory of Mind

Overview

AtoM-Net is a cognitive neuro-symbolic pipeline for negotiation theory of mind, combining neural belief inference with a fully symbolic decision engine.

• Stage 1 — Atomic Inference: LLM-based semantic parsing of cheap talk and deterministic parsing of costly signals to produce raw belief/preference probabilities.
• Stage 2 — Economic Consistency Validator: A symbolic contradiction function refines raw beliefs, applying a decay factor and penalizing deception risk.
• Stage 3 — Symbolic Decision Engine: Exhaustive deal-space enumeration (non-LLM/symbolic) with expected-utility maximization to generate the optimal offer.
• Stage 4 — Reflexion Layer: Inter-game learning via LLM self-critique, updating beliefs, acceptance probability, and utility estimates across games.
